Little Ferry Police Department
Mission Statement
The mission of the Little Ferry Police Department is to prevent crime, enforce the law, and support quality public safety by delivering competent and caring police services with a commitment to the public we serve. The Little Ferry Police Department is an Accredited Agency under the New Jersey State Police Chief's Association.
The Little Ferry Police Department is responsible for the all law enforcement activities within the Borough. Under the direction of Chief James Walters, the Department currently offers the following:
- Patrol
- Traffic Bureau
- Detective Bureau
- School Resource Officer
- Office of Emergency Management
- Police Reports (available 5 days after the incident)
Additionally the Department coordinates the following:
- National Night Out
- Background checks
- Firearms Application Process
- Handicap parking

Effective January 1, 2016 the Little Ferry Police Department will be utilizing Body Cameras. Be aware that there will be instances where police encounters will be audio and video taped.
