Local History Mural

Thank you to Mr. Bill Riedel for his creative work on this local history mural now in place on the long wall in the Reference Room, and to the Little Ferry Local History Society for sponsoring this project. Mr. Riedel painted the mural in five sections on canvas in his studio, depicting historic moments via buildings erected in Little Ferry history since the founding of the Borough. Mr. Riedel and his helper John Chlodnicki, a professional wallpaper hanger, mounted the five sections on the Reference Room wall at the Library on January 6, 7, and 8, 2016, using a scaffold and ladder. Mr. Riedel is pictured above, pointing. John Chlodnicki is across the table, as they together prepare a section of the mural canvas.

Visit the Reference Room at the Little Ferry Free Public Library to view this remarkable local history mural. This little website presentation does no justice to the event of this mural, which spans 60 some feet of the long wall in our lovely Reference Room.
